MADDERS TIFF MAKES ONE THING CLEAR IN LATEST “UNDERDOG” VISUALS [@MADDERSTIFF]
North London Grime artist Madders Tiff is looking to make a statement with the release of her brand new track ‘Underdog’.
Shot and directed by Shan Brown, the up-tempo Wiley produced track demonstrates her lyrical ability as she boldly asserts her rise to the top with a skippy flow complemented with a catchy sing-a-long hook.
Speaking on the concept behind her latest track, she explains “It’s just me stating facts, I’m proud of my journey as an artist but people need to recognise that you can’t ignore progress forever, the song is dedicated to anyone who believes in themselves, it’s about letting the world know that you’re strong and here to stay!”
We managed to have a quick word with Madders Tiff about her latest song, getting started in music and plans for her upcoming EP.
“I’ve always been interested in music, my mum used to be a bit of a raver so I grew up listening to Old-School Garage and House Music. I started singing when I was a little girl but as soon as I started listening to grime and saw a couple of the boys on my estate MC’ing I had to get involved. I’d record all the sets and spray my bars in my room with my hairbrush as a mic, I told my mum I was going to be a grime MC and that was that. I was a bedroom MC back then but I loved it lol now I’m a real MC and it’s a dream come true.”
“Wiley is such an inspiration and I was so happy when he said he liked what I did with the song. I just want to work with legends and I am so grateful for everything so no pressure, it’s everyday Madders but I got this.”
“My EP is called ‘Madders on the Blocks’, it’s really close to my heart actually and I’m very open about shit I’ve been through, you’ll be able to hear that on the EP. I’ve got tracks Produced by Rude Kid, Blay Vision, Wiley, Kid D and a couple others on there, obviously some MC’s with sick verses!”
