Essex musician and Hellaturnt’s very own La Swave is back with his latest single “Ain’t My Bae” taken from his forthcoming LP ‘Let Me Live’. Produced by Dan Fresh, the bass bumping track is catered for the mosh pit crew and reintroduces us to La Swave’s witty, boastful demeanour in the form of hard-hitting lyrics.

Speaking on the concept behind his latest single, he explains “I wouldn’t say there is a clear concept for the single. The line ‘Ain’t my bae, that’s just my go-to’ is a line from Initiation and it seems to go off at performances so I thought why not make a full song that could potentially do bits.”

We managed to have a quick word with La Swave about his musical influences, latest single and plans for his upcoming LP.

“I’ve been involved in music in some capacity my whole life. I started off as a producer and was always writing with artists but in 2015 thought why not step into the booth and show off my talents.”

“My musical influences stem from multiple sources. I grew up on a lot of R&B, Southern Hip Hop (Texan Hip Hop), Screwed & Chopped Music, Funk and Rap.  Also, life as cliché as it sounds is a heavy influence on the music I make.”

“My forthcoming LP ‘Let Me Live’ will be a collection of music I’ve been working on for the past few months since my last project. This project will be more experimental as a lot of the music made is not the particular Swave sound but I’ve felt that with songs I’ve dropped in the past that I could potentially vibe on anything. Hopefully, it will translate well to the listeners.”
